As a Double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist, Dr. Skupsky is committed to providing exceptional care and comprehensive treatment options for all of her patients. Specializing in medical dermatology and dermatopathology, Dr. Skupsky’s advanced training and understanding of the skin allows her to effectively diagnose and treat a broad range of skin conditions.

Dr. Skupsky is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (F.A.A.D.) and is double board certified by the American Board of Dermatology in the specialty of Dermatology and sub-specialty of Dermatopathology.  She graduated with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) from Cornell University and subsequently received a full scholarship to attend the University of Maryland School of Medicine.   Dr. Skupsky graduated at the top of her medical school class (Magna Cum Laude) and went on to complete her residency training in Dermatology at the University of California Irvine where she served as Chief Resident of dermatopathology education.  Dr. Skupsky was awarded the departmental Resident Teacher Award and continues to teach residents at UC Irvine and UC San Diego on a volunteer basis.  Dr. Skupsky also completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Dermatopathology at the prestigious Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York City.

Dr. Skupsky has authored over 10 peer-reviewed publications on topics including melanoma and other cutaneous tumors, fungal infections of the skin, and cutaneous lymphoma.  She has also lectured at a variety of dermatologic society meetings including the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting.

Dr. Skupsky’s combined training in clinical dermatology and dermatopathology uniquely allows her to correlate clinical dermatologic signs and symptoms with skin biopsy analysis to arrive at the most accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

Her focus is the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers as well as complex rashes, with a special interest in melanoma and melanocytic lesions. She is actively involved with the newest clinical and molecular techniques used in the diagnosis and prognosis of cutaneous melanoma.  Dr. Skupsky is also trained in the use of dermoscopy (total body imaging/digital epiluminescence microscopy DELM), and utilizes this technology in routine skin cancer screenings.
