PRP for Facial Rejuvenation

Is your dull, damaged skin keeping you from feeling your best self possible?

Are you tired of looking tired? Are you ready to reverse the effects of aged or sun damaged skin? Would you like a minimally-invasive procedure to optimize your skin’s health? If so, it might be a good time to start thinking about PRP Therapy for Facial Rejuvenation at Laser Skin Care Center.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy is a time-tested method for total facial rejuvenation. The minimally-invasive procedure is customized based on the patient’s needs and can be tailored to address his or her individual concerns while also restoring younger, firmer-looking skin. PRP Therapy is done in a simple in-office visit.

How Does PRP for Facial Rejuvenation Work?

PRP Therapy uses growth factors derived from your own blood. Prior to treatment, you’ll give a small sample of blood which will be sent to our lab for preparation. Platelet Rich Plasma can be administered either via injection or topically applied before or after a minimally-invasive procedure such as micro-needling or laser treatments.

When administered via injection, the PRP serum is delivered to precise points allowing it to mimic surrounding tissue. The process creates collagen and elastin production for long-term anti-aging effects.

PRP can also be applied topically to enhance the results of minimally-invasive procedures. This allows the serum to penetrate to the deeper tissue layers promoting faster cellular turnover. The result is a more dramatic outcome with less downtime.

Am I a Good Candidate for PRP?

You may be a good fit for PRP Therapy if you’d like to maximize the effects of facial rejuvenation procedures. PRP Therapy can;

  • Smooth Fine Lines & Wrinkles
  • Minimize Acne Scars & Pore Size
  • Even Out Skin Texture
  • Improve Overall Skin Health

PRP treatments are suitable for men and women of all ages. Whether you’re looking to reverse visible signs of aging or sun damage, or simply want a preventative solution for keeping skin youthful, PRP can help. Your provider or cosmetic consultant will determine your candidacy and customize a treatment plan at the time of your initial consultation.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

Treatment times can vary based on the method enlisted. While PRP injections can take just a few minutes, it can take much longer if applied following another procedure. In most cases, patients can plan to be in and out of the office within about 1-2 hours. Your skincare specialist can help you plan for your visit beforehand.

What Results Will I See?

PRP injections are used to enhance collagen growth, restore hydration, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Several sessions may be needed to achieve an optimal outcome.

PRP Therapy in conjunction with micro-needling or laser treatments can produce exceptional results including total facial rejuvenation. Results are often visible about 1-2 weeks post-treatment. The longevity of your topically-applied PRP treatment is dependent on the severity of your condition and treatment it’s paired with.

Is There Any Downtime?

PRP for facial rejuvenation is typically a minimal downtime procedure on its own. When paired with other procedures like micro-needling, you can expect 2-3 days for recovery. When applied after laser treatments, you may need anywhere from 1-3 days to fully heal. Platelet Rich Plasma promotes a speedy recovery when combined with any treatment helping patients get back to their daily routine more quickly.

VI Chemical Peels

VI chemical peels can promote smoother skin, even skin tone, and help diminish the appearance of wrinkles, brown spots, fine lines, precancerous lesions, and acne scars. VI Peels are safe for all skin types and can accelerate the results of microneedling, platelet-rich plasma, and injectables.

Will I Benefit From VI Chemical Peels?

VI chemical peels are designed to treat a range of complexion concerns, including:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Hyperpigmentation & brown spots
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Sun damage
  • Acne scars
  • Melasma
  • And more!

Your Laser Skin Care Center physician will work with you to determine which VI peel formula is right for your needs.

Types of VI Peels

VI Original Peel

The VI Original Peel is suitable for all skin types. This peel is great for sensitive skin and can treat the early signs of aging, rough skin texture, and other skin conditions. This medium-depth peel will show its results in approximately 7 days. We recommend this peel for individuals who are 20+ years old.

VI Advanced Peel

The VI Advanced Peel is a medium-depth peel that buffs away rough skin, softens fine lines and wrinkles, and provides an overall youthful glow. This peel penetrates aging skin, making it perfect for those struggling with skin elasticity. We recommend this peel for individuals who are 40+ years old.

VI Precision Plus Peel

The VI Precision Plus Peel is safe for all skin types. It can combat UV-induced pigmentation, sun damage, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and textural damage. The Precision Plus Peel also promotes rapid cell turnover, leading to youthful results that are long-lasting.

What Should I Expect From My Treatment?

Chemical peels are performed in the office.  Please arrive at your appointment with a clean face, without any makeup. The VI chemical peel solution is applied directly to the facial skin. The VI peel is then carefully removed and the skin is moisturized to help minimize side effects. Most peels are performed without any need for numbing agents. A hand-held fan and ice water-soaked gauze are available for increased comfort, but often not needed.

What Are The Potential Side Effects?*

Side effects can vary depending on the VI chemical peel formula. Most patients can expect some redness, peeling, and flaking of treated skin. More aggressive chemical peel formulas can lead to intense peeling and flaking for the first two weeks after the initial treatment. It is important for patients to wear sunscreen and to stay out of the sun in the weeks after their peel.

How Soon Will I See Results?*

Results can vary, depending on the strength and formula of the chemical peel. For mild formulas, results can be seen as quickly as two to three weeks.  Many people will return periodically for routine glycolic acid peels to maintain rejuvenated skin. For stronger, more aggressive formulas, patients may not see final results until four months after the initial treatment as collagen remodels, though brown spots tend to flake away after 1-2 weeks.

Fraxel Dual

At Laser Skin Care Center, our physicians use the Fraxel Dual® 1550/1927 to help patients treat damaged skin, such as sun spots, wrinkles and other signs of aging. Fraxel® treatment is a noninvasive skin resurfacing procedure approved by the FDA and has been safely used by our physicians to improve skin health and texture for many patients.

What is Fraxel Dual® Laser Used For?

At Laser Skin Care Center our physicians use the Fraxel Dual® laser to treat uneven pigmentation commonly associated with sun spots, melasma, and even precancerous conditions. Although these resurfacing treatments are most commonly performed on facial skin, we have had great success in treating other parts of the body prone to sun damage, including the neck, chest, and hands.

Here are just some of the ways Laser Skin Care Center patients have benefited from Fraxel Dual®:

  • Improved tone and texture
  • Reduced wrinkles around the eyes
  • Removal of unwanted brown spots
  • Improved appearance of surgical and acne scars
  • Effective treatment of actinic keratosis (pre-cancerous lesions)
  • Excellent treatment for even the most delicate skin

How does the Fraxel Dual® Laser Work?

Fraxel Dual® is a patented fractional technology that helps resurface skin by targeting damaged skin cells and stimulating the body’s natural healing processes. The laser allows for targeted treatment without significant downtime or severe discomfort. The laser produces thousands of microscopic laser columns, which penetrate deep into the skin. The heat from the energy bursts removes damaged cells but does not cause significant damage to surrounding healthy tissues.

A Fraxel Dual® treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, but we recommend you reserve around two hours of your time for appointments for local numbing and before and after pictures. Each treatment targets between 15 and 20 percent of the skin’s surface, leaving the surrounding, healthy areas virtually unaffected.

How Long does it Last?

Results of this treatment are both immediate and progressive, with most patients noticing significant improvement after a single treatment. However, it’s important to understand that multiple treatments may be necessary to reach optimal results, most patients achieve their desired outcome after 2-5 treatment sessions. Over the following weeks and months, patients notice skin tightening and pigmentation improvements as the skin begins to heal itself. Lifestyle and exposure to the sun will determine how long your treatments may last.

Q-Switch Laser

This Q-Switch laser is ideal for treating a full spectrum of benign pigmented lesions, including solar lentigines (sun spots), age spots, acquired dermal melanocytosis, Nevus of Ota, Nevus of Ito, and the common freckle. It also treats tattoos.

Q-Switched Laser Treatment at Laser Skin Care Center

At Laser Skin Care Center, our physicians use the Q-Switched laser to treat a variety of skin concerns—particularly unwanted pigmentation, tattoo ink, and signs of sun damage. This advanced, noninvasive laser technology delivers short, high-intensity pulses that safely break down pigment in the skin without harming the surrounding tissue. FDA-approved and widely trusted, the Q-Switch laser has been used effectively by our team to restore clearer, more even-toned skin.

What Is the Q-Switched Laser Used For?

The Q-Switch laser is a versatile treatment that targets excess pigmentation in the skin, such as sun spots, freckles, melasma, and certain types of birthmarks. It’s also one of the most effective technologies available for tattoo removal, regardless of ink color. While commonly used on the face, the Q-Switched laser is equally effective on areas like the chest, shoulders, back, and hands—regions often affected by sun exposure or prior treatments.

Patients at Laser Skin Care Center have experienced improvement in:

  • Uneven skin tone and pigmentation
  • Sun spots and age spots
  • Melasma and other forms of discoloration
  • Tattoo removal (all colors)
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • Birthmarks and vascular lesions

How Does the Q-Switched Laser Work?

Q-Switch laser technology works by delivering ultra-short bursts of energy into the skin, targeting pigment and ink particles with precision. The energy pulses break down these particles into tiny fragments, which the body’s natural processes gradually eliminate. Because it works in extremely short pulses—measured in nanoseconds—the laser minimizes heat damage to surrounding skin, making it both safe and effective.

A typical treatment session takes about 15–30 minutes, though appointment times may vary depending on the treatment area and whether numbing is needed. Most patients experience only mild discomfort, and downtime is generally minimal.

How Long Do Results Last?

Results from Q-Switched laser treatments are gradual and improve with each session. Many patients notice a visible reduction in pigmentation or ink after just one treatment, with continued progress over the following weeks. For best results, a series of treatments may be recommended, depending on the condition being treated. Your skin is in expert hands with the dedicated team at Laser Skin Care Centers.

Earlobe Repair

Earlobe Repair at Laser Skin Care Center

At Laser Skin Care Center, we offer expert earlobe repair procedures to correct stretched, torn, or damaged earlobes caused by trauma, heavy earrings, or gauges. Whether you’re looking to restore a natural shape or prepare for re-piercing, our skilled physicians perform earlobe repairs with precision and care, helping you achieve a natural, symmetrical result.

What Is Earlobe Repair Used For?

Earlobe repair is a minor surgical procedure designed to restore the natural contour and integrity of the earlobe. Over time, earlobes can become stretched, split, or misshapen due to wearing heavy earrings, accidental tears, or the use of ear gauges. Many patients choose earlobe repair for cosmetic reasons, while others seek the procedure to make re-piercing possible or to improve comfort and appearance.

Common concerns treated with earlobe repair include:

  • Torn or completely split earlobes
  • Elongated piercing holes
  • Stretched lobes from gauges or heavy earrings
  • Asymmetrical or misshapen earlobes
  • Scarring or irregularities from past trauma

How Does Earlobe Repair Work?

This treatment is typically performed in-office under local anesthesia and takes about 20 to 30 minutes per earlobe. During the procedure, the damaged tissue is gently removed, and the earlobe is carefully reconstructed using fine sutures to ensure a natural shape. The sutures are typically removed after 5–7 days, and the scar usually fades significantly over time.

The procedure is minimally invasive, and downtime is minimal. Most patients return to normal activities immediately, though we advise avoiding earrings or trauma to the area during healing. Re-piercing is generally possible after the lobe has fully healed, typically within 6–8 weeks.

How Long Do Results Last?

Results from earlobe repair are long-lasting and often permanent. Once healed, the earlobe maintains its restored appearance, with little to no visible scarring in most cases. Patients are often surprised by how natural and refined their ears look post-procedure.

Vbeam

About Vbeam

What is it?

A pulsed dye laser, the Vbeam is designed to shoot an intense beam of light into your skin to get the effects you want. Although intense, the light beam is optimized at a frequency gentle enough to leave untargeted areas unharmed. What’s unique about the Vbeam laser is that the light isn’t absorbed by your skin, but by your blood vessels. Not only is this more efficient, but it’s also safer, as side effects are greatly minimized. Vbeam addresses several different conditions that otherwise would require more than one type of procedure. These conditions include fine lines and wrinkles, rosacea, troublesome veins, scars, cherry red birthmarks, and warts.

What to expect

The number of Vbeam treatment sessions needed will depend on both your aesthetic goals and the nature of the skin condition to be treated. For example, you could have as few as 2-3 treatments (for rosacea) or as many as 5-10 (for red birthmarks). Because Vbeam is non-ablative, your skin is not burned, cut, blistered, or harmed in any way. This means it is safe enough for your face, legs, and elsewhere on the body. Furthermore, Vbeam is a great treatment for individuals of all ages and can be combined with other procedures, including Botox and dermal fillers like Juvéderm, for better results.

After the procedure

The side effects of Vbeam depend on the severity of the condition being treated and your overall treatment goals. Generally, side effects are mild and temporary and could include swelling, redness, and bruising, all of which usually subside within a week.

Our approach & expertise

We understand the impact that a variety of facial skin conditions can have, not only on your appearance but also on your self-esteem. That’s why we offer the versatile Vbeam laser, a single solution for several different skin conditions. Our knowledgeable laser and skin experts have the training and skill to tailor Vbeam laser treatment to your unique needs, and we’re always here to answer questions, address concerns, and provide compassionate support.
